Evenflo Tribute Vs Stratos
These two are very similar. For example, they have both undergone side impact and federal crash testing. Both models passed both tests. In addition, the Evenflo Stratos 65 has passed rollover testing.

Rear Facing
To install the Evenflo Tribute LX rear facing, first adjust the car seat to recline position. Make sure the harness straps are in one of the bottom 3 harness slots. Before that, put the car seat into the vehicle facing toward its back. The harness straps should be at or below shoulder level.
Pull the seat pad off of the seat’s front and thread the lower anchor connector hook and strap through the rear-facing belt paths. Look at the position of the crotch strap. If it is in the back, route the lower anchor connector strap in front of the crotch strap. If it is in the front, route it behind the crotch strap.
Attach the left hook to the left anchor bar and the right hook to the right anchor bar. Pull hard to make sure that they are latched to the anchor bars securely. Push the car seat into the vehicle seat using all of your body weight.
Always Double Check
Double check that the car seat doesn’t move by moving it side to side or front to back and pull tight on the lower anchor connector assembly strap. To use the seat belt, perform the same steps as above. Check if the harness straps are positioned at or below shoulder level. Do this as well, then pull the seat pad off of the front part of the car seat.
Thread the vehicle seat belt through the rear-facing belt path. Then thread it through the seat’s opposite opening. Fasten the seat belt. Route the lower anchor connector strap in front of the crotch strap if it is in the back.
Do this behind the crotch strap if it is in the front. As you put all of your weight onto the car seat, pull the belt tightly. Double check that the car seat doesn’t move while shifting it front to back or side to side.
Install Forward Facing
To install the seat forward facing, make sure the harness straps are in one of the top three strap slots. The straps should not be below shoulder height. Place the car seat facing forward and run the seat belt through the forward-facing belt path.
Use a locking clip to fasten the vehicle seat belt and make sure it is as tight as possible. Double check that the car seat doesn’t move while shifting it front to back or side to side. Connect the tether strap behind the vehicle seat and pull it tight.
To use the LATCH system, go through the first few steps above. Put the car seat in the vehicle facing forward. Run the lower anchor connector strap through its route and hook through the forward-facing belt strap.
Locate the lower anchor bars. Attach the left hook to the left anchor bar and the right hook to the right anchor bar. The anchors should be as secure as possible. Double check that the car seat doesn’t move while shifting it front to back or side to side. Connect the tether strap behind the vehicle seat and pull it as tight as you can.
Installing The Tribute In An Airplane
To install the Tribute rear-facing on a plane, first check if the airplane seat is in a fully upright position. Place the car seat in a rear facing position into the airplane seat and adjust it to a recline position. The harness straps should be in one of the bottom 3 harness slots at or below shoulder level. Route the airplane seat belt through the rear-facing belt path. Pull the seat pad off of the front part of the car seat.
Adjust the crotch strap according to the position that’s best for your child. If the crotch strap is in the back position, route the airplane seat belt in front of the crotch strap. Do it behind it if the crotch strap is in the front position.
Then, put the airplane seat belt on, making sure it is as tight as possible. Push the Tribute into the plane seat with high force. Route the extra seat belt back through the rear-facing belt path. Shift to the side and back and forth to ensure yourself that the car seat doesn’t move.
Installing Forward-Facing
Make sure the airplane seat is completely upright. Then, adjust the car seat to its upright position as well. Place the Tribute on the airplane seat facing forward. After that, run the airplane seat belt through the forward-facing belt path. Pull through the car seat’s opposite side and make sure the seat belt is tightly fastened.
Through the forward-facing belt path, pull the excess seat belt back. Push the car seat into the airplane seat with full force, tightening the excess belt strap. To make sure that the car seat doesn’t move, shift it sideways as well as back and forth.
